Job Overview:

The Consumer Loan Processor’s role is to verify applicant information, review documentation, coordinate with various parties, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and compile documents for loan closings, such as title abstracts, insurance forms, loan forms, tax receipts, and lien perfections.
  • Accurately prepare, process and loan applications, legal documents and forms, using bank software applications and computer systems
  • Reviews loan documentation and identifies any issues and takes appropriate action to ensure the documentation packages are documented in accordance with Bank policies and procedures and are in adherence with compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain an active knowledge base of all the Bank’s loan products and an understanding of the qualifications required of each applicant
  • Scanning loan documentation, processing draw request, facilitating wire request and filing of documentation
  • Consults with loan officers on unresolved issues and/or complex issues to ensure the documents represent an appropriate binding commitment for the Bank
  • Communicate regularly with customers and ensure they receive exceptional customer service throughout the process
  • Update records regularly
  • Assures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as, all applicable state and federal banking regulations
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2 + years’ experience as a Loan Processor or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of closing procedures, loan process, and documentation.
  • Must be able to work with a significant amount of detailed information in an accurate, timely and confidential manner.
  • Knowledge of bank and appraisal regulations and guidelines
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Must be a team player with ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects
  • Basic computer skills, with proficiency in learning new software applications
  • Specialization in TRID processes and regulations.
  • In depth knowledge of document preparation platforms and processes.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, scanners, filing cabinets, and fax machines.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, bend, or kneel.  Ability to see objects up close or at a distance, use peripheral vision, identify basic colors; Use of hands with ability to reach; ability to life up to 20 pounds.
